I write this with love for the memory of one of the greatest American artists of All Time, goodbye Michael Jackson, thank you for the power and beauty of your music, the grandeur of your heart and generosity of spirit that you brought to us all! There are many imitators out there stumbling through imitations of your musical excellence and unparalleled dance moves but even Stevie Wonder can see the difference!! All hail to the undeniable Master, The King of Pop, Michael Jackson!! LONG LIVE THE KING!!!

Hey Sugar,
Call it what you want, I call it your most intelligent and well thought out CDs you've produced. I've caught your acts in Chicago, Traverse City(hell I loaned you a harp up there), and Grand Rapids. GR was the BEST. I enjoyed the chat and thanks for signing the picture of you and I. My son was trilled too and plays "CODE BLUE"constantly. So your situation appears great. The music always has been great. Life is good. Thanks, for being you!

I wanted to send a video clip, a peformance by Donald Kinsey, Kinsey Report, of "River's Invitation" (Percy Mayfield), at a Blues Fest the boys were performing at last year...but I can't send an "URL" through here, apparently ... and it's pretty spectacular...an amazing lead guitarist is with them (not Ron, whom I knew before, who used to be with them)... This song has the most beautiful guitar solo break, as well as the luscious arpeggio-like melody throughout...all just totally stunning and deeply touching... never mind the mind-blowing lyrics...anyway, how can I send it to Sugar Blue? A present from me to him...I think he'll appreciate and really enjoy it.

Hey...I saw Sugar Blue in Toronto, around 1995 or so, at the Silver Dollar. He was talking to a friend of mine, Big Doug, between shows...and then S.B. bummed a methol smoke from me! (this was in the days when I still smoked!)...Anyway, I always regretted I never spoke to S.B. at the time, when I had a chance...but, my being short, standing in the middle of Big Doug and S. Blue, it would have been kind of ridiculous, for one thing, to try and jump up another foot or so to join to try to join the coversation...and I'm a bit shy... Is S. Blue to be at the Mt. Tremblant Blues Fest of not? I can't make it, I don't think...but will he be there?
