Greetings Sugar Blue – from an infant (if elderly) harp player. I’m so happy you are out there in the world blowing such fine Blues harp. Hope to catch you in New York some day when I’m passing through. All the Best – Doc Togden

How cool was it to hang out in Memphis and simply exchange a respective hello and from there I get to hang out with a living legend! Suger it was a pleasure to have met you and I look forward to coming to a gig real soon. Thanks for making my weekend "Sugar Blue" cool!

Sugar Blue;
Let me say first how embarrassed I am to not realize I was chatting with one of the great harmonica players of our time at Chicago O’Hare while waiting to board a flight to Brussels: Sugar Blue. As soon as I heard you playing on your website, I ordered a couple of your CDs.

Great seeing you in Chicago-you rocked the house! Appreciate you taking time to sign my harp case too! That's going up on the wall.

Hey there !!
Lets see how good your memory is !
Back in 1972 we were both stationed at Fort Jackson,SC and we used to jam a bit in my room in the barracks.You used to carry your harps around in the ammo packs on your belt, and I played guitar.Everytime I hear those last 12 bars of 'Miss You " I think of those days.Always knew you would go places and glad things are going so good for ya !!
T Take care bro.. Kim an old Army bud !

A long time ago you played in Rockford at Rush Street. My friends Connie and Dan brought you to my house afterwards. My dog's name was Boogie, the same as the one amp you used to have. You had your wife and her mother with you. I also saw you at Alpine Valley play with the Stones and many times in Chicago at Rosa's. Just wanted to say hi, glad you are still playing.
